Well this last year has been an interesting year.

Me and and a couple geeks decided we were gonna start up an Internet radio station.

And we have had a lot of  twist and turns like for example our producer and are D.A.R.B (dumb ass radio broadcaster) who is formally known as Tyson Brooks has had problems with comcast dropping UDP packets slowing the connection down to dial up at times or even at times dropping the connection.

And well we seem to be doing pretty good tonight we had a giveaway.

So I was a genious and slept through it all I missed new years!!!

I missed our biggest night/morning since we have started the Geek Talk Radio!!!

What a way to kick off the Year of 2009 i know i am a dumb ass!!

Trying To Fit In

Over the past several, I’ve been struggling to find out where I fit in.

It was much easier in early childhood. Once I hit age 7 or 8, no one my age really liked me because I would never talk. I didn’t really have any social skills because I was expelled from school in second grade. I’ve been home-schooled ever since then. I didn’t start socializing with other kids until I hit my teen years. At that time, I started playing basketball at the park near my house. I made friends, even though they probably weren’t the best ones in the world. I earned their respect, but I still didn’t feel as though I fit in.

About a month ago, I came across a video on Youtube by a guy named Chris Pirillo. He was talking about where to find his new social networking site, Geeks. I started nosing around, and learned he had a live community and chat room, as well. I downloaded an IRC client and started hanging out in his channel. It was such a great decision for me. Finally, I fit in. I quickly made many friends, who share the same interests.

My friends and I started a channel of our own. It’s not very active yet, but I’m confident it will grow. We have a VoIP server that we talk through. We have a great time hanging out and bouncing ideas off of each other. I wouldn’t trade these guys for anything, not even a million dollars.

Be sure to stay tuned for my future blogs, and feel free to join us on IRC: irc.wyldryde.org #snick  You can also check out Chris in the same place, in channel #chris. Visit his live stream at live.pirillo.com
